THE MEDAL

THE CUTTING EDGE FASHIONS COLLECTION

The 2020 Medal

This year’s 40th anniversary medal was inspired by our sophomore student, Erica De Luna.  She felt that the sewing machine best represented the rich history of our fashion department.  Tehua Cruz and Rachel Villacorta, graphic design students assisted with the final design.

Medals are available at:

  • The Fiesta® Store on Broadway
  • The Fashion office in JB214, Monday-Thursday between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

THE CUTTING EDGE FASHIONS COLLECTION

The 2019 Medal

The medal of 2019 was inspired by the dress design of Alejandrina Sanchez. The creative background we credit to Tehua Cruz and Rachel Villacorta, Graphic Design majors at UIW.

The 2018 Medal

The medal of 2018 represents a garment designed by 2017 Pinkie People’s Choice winner, Tiffany White. Tiffany’s collection, Contemporary Kumasi, included bright colors, African Ankara prints, pleats, and the comfort of cotton.
